NCNE Seminars explore critical issues through the presentation and debate by panelists and participants of new thinking or research. Their purpose is to give nonprofit managers and consultants, who together usually make up 80% of the participants, new and practical ways of thinking about generating or applying resources. They are normally designed for audiences of 60 -70 people, last 4 to 5 hours, and are often presented in partnership with a member of NCNE's Institutional Consortium. Previous subjects have included understanding and measuring the financial health of a nonprofit, assessing the value of volunteers, nonprofit income strategy, and cost-benefit analysis in grantmaking.
NCNE is currently in discussion with its Institutional Consortium members on a rolling program of seminars covering the range of issues raised in our new book, Financing Nonprofits.
