Research in the area of performance evaluation and outcome measurement is burgeoning. We have included a small number of pieces here. The Nonprofit Sector Research Fund has funded a number of projects in this area. You can read summaries of the results here. REDF, previously known as the Roberts Enterprise Development Fund, have done a lot of practical work in and thinking about, the notion of social return on investment.
