Life is What Happens while you're making Strategic Plans

This session on nonprofit planning, presented on the first morning of the Conference, featured Jeanne Bell, CEO of CompassPoint, Joan Hoge, ED of the Historical Society of Delaware and Kevin Kearns, Professor of Public and Nonprofit Management at GSPIA at the University of Pittsburgh. "Insight after insight," and "Provocative - challenged the accepted process model with the idea that you have to use what actually works" were just two of the positive comments made after these presentations that contain new insights into how a nonprofit can make a difference through planning.

Use this transcript or the recordings to guide to your nonprofit's strategic or business planning, to provoke discussion and debate about planning among board members and senior staff, or use the material as a case study or a reading for nonprofit management students.
